Below are some frequently asked questions to help you learn more about what to expect.
- Is my information safe with Danielle?
- Yes. Danielle is bound by HIPAA laws and her license to maintain confidentiality. However, Danielle is legally obligated to notify Child Protective Services if she suspects any type of child abuse. Danielle is also legally obligated to notify emergency services if you are an immediate threat to yourself and/or others.
- What insurance does Danielle accept?
- Danielle currently accepts Cigna, Highmark, UPMC, Magellan Health, CHIP, United Healthcare/Optum, and Aetna. Keep checking back to see if any other insurances have been added. However, you do not have to have insurance to schedule an appointment with Danielle.
- Is counseling for me?
- Counseling is for everyone at every stage of your life.
- How can Danielle help me?
- Danielle teaches you the tools to help yourself and then helps you implement them into your daily life.
- What should I bring to my first appointment?
- If you have one of the accepted insurances, please bring your insurance card. Please bring cash, credit card, or check.
- How often will I need to be seen?
- This will depend based on the client. Some clients may need to be seen weekly, while others may only need to be seen biweekly or monthly.
- What if I have to cancel an appointment?
- Please call at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- How long will an appointment be?
- Appointments will typically last one hour.
